In McMuller’s sinuous blacks, Black is not a color that covers or hides but rather the opposite. The Black becomes here a blackboard, a background from which emerge the sensual features of the female body, with their intrinsic purity and the precise intent to ensnare the senses, seduce the mind and then leave a mark, in the soul of the observer.
