Vita di mezzo - Life in the middle

Black and white compete for the field and, as in the eternal dispute between Yin and Yang, represent the opposing sides: good and evil, beautiful and ugly, good and bad and all those who can come to mind.

And then there are us, human beings who spend their lives in the balance, with our choices that sometimes border on one side, sometimes on the other.

Vita di Mezzo is a work that represents our life, which proceeds more or less expedited with its load of messes, misunderstandings, hypocrisy and justifications but also with the infinite thrust of desires, goals, skills, values and dreams.

It’s never linear, and what a bore if it was. Vita di mezzo is the experiment Astr-FA Exp-001, (yes, the very first!), made with acrylic and medium colors on a canvas glued to cardboard.

It is small and was part of a kit that, in the initial intentions, was only to serve to understand how fluid-art works ('experiment 002, for example, was then recycled for further experiments on finishes).

However, since the final result of both the creation and the finishing has achieved the desired goal of Andreas, this experiment has been declared a success, framed ad hoc and inserted in the series of McMuller’s works.

The name was given to him during the Padua Art Fair by the artist and highly esteemed gallery owner Laura Benaglia, president of the Sjeil Gallery who appreciated and requested him for future exhibitions.

Vita di mezzo is part of the works of Fluid-art by Andreas McMüller and is catalogued and certified, also in the portal of the auction house Gigarte, Lucca (Italy).
